General technical data and calculations guiding wagons
Loads due to forces and torques on the guiding wagon
The forces acting on the system are distributed among the guiding wagons depending on the arrangement. The loads due to forces and torques resulting from the effective forces need to be calculated for each guiding wagon when performing the life expectancy calculation. All load calculations require an infinitely rigid mounting base and an infinitely rigid structure. The service life calculation for the IMS is performed in a similar way to the service life calculation for profiled guide rails without a measuring system. Please refer to the respective Ball/Roller Rail Systems catalog.
Load on a single guiding wagon due to forces and torques.

The following table shows the arrangements that are most commonly found in practice. Depending on the selected arrangement, for the IMS guiding wagon the values Fy max and Mz max must be complied with in the application. For these values, see the respective sections on Ball / Roller Runner Blocks.

| Values for ball runner block without ball chain with assembled scanner. Compliance with these values will ensure safe functioning of the application. Exceeding these values can lead to destruction of the equipment. For the life expectancy calculation, the values from the “Ball Rail Systems” catalog must be used. Values for ball runner block with ball chain are available on request. |
