Product description
Hägglunds quick stop unit is designed to be used on hydraulic drives to quickly stop the rolls without stopping the main electric motor.
There is no need of a mechanical brake. The stopping function is instead achieved by blocking the oil flow from the Hägglunds hydraulic motor.
A very short braking time is possible due to small inertia of the motor and quick response from the hydraulic valve, i.e. 100 ... 150 ms
From safety point of view regarding quick stop, Hägglunds quick stop functionality consisting of Hägglunds hydraulic motor, quick stop valve VQCB 800 and electrical control unit QECB is an ideal combination.
The components are designed according to following safety regulations for rubber and plastic machines.
